For over 35 years, McCoy has played an active role in the Twin Cities media community. He founded the University Community Video Center and the Twin Cities Chapter of the International Television Association. Ron is also an active member or sponsor in  MN-AMA, MN-IABC and MIMA organizations. He has owned or operated three AV, video and multimedia companies.
